Greens Bush is an area of land saved in the 1980’s from subdivision that joins the proposed quarry site on its southern edge and goes all the way to Bass Straight. These plant and animal corridors have been hard won, without them there would be species extinctions. If the quarry proposal is accepted the corridor will be broken, it is the middle link.

I made Greens Bush as part of a series of works titled The trees are falling into the sea and other stories that began in Port Phillip Bay after the dredging and eventually looked at Climate Change and coastal erosion from Spencer Gulf to Moreton Bay, where most of the population lives, just above sea level.

The plant fragment appears to be under the microscope, or perhaps floating inside a human head like shape, it is animated and speaking to us, I hope you can hear it.
