Silver Leaf Art Box is pleased to present Immersion, an exhibition of new paintings by Melbourne artist Hannah Fox. Following the lineage of European abstract landscape painting in Australia, Fox brings us a contemporary interpretation of the Australian bush.

Fox lives and works in Melbourne and draws on her local Merri Creek for subject matter as well as Merricks Beach on the Mornington Peninsula where she has regularly spent time all her life. Fox brings her experience of these environments to the studio where she embodies them on canvas. Anyone familiar with Merricks foreshore is likely to recognise in Fox’s palette the smoky shivery greens of the Woolly Tea-tree and Silver Banksia. The abstraction of Fox’s paintings fuses sensory impressions of landscape with thought and memory.
