Collection: ROSALIND ATKINS

Born in Terang, Victoria, I currently live and work in Melbourne. I work predominantly in the printmaking medium of engraving on various materials but most usually wood. As my practice is concerned with the tree, its value and significance, I attempt to capture on a small scale what it is to be in the presence of the natural world.

As the current global pandemic isolated people and global warming has threatened all life forms, the importance of maintaining forests cannot be underestimated. My hope for my work is that in some small way it may make a contribution to the appreciation of the natural world.

My work is held in public and private collections in Australia and overseas.
