I am an artist who has explored the concept of 'what it is to be human' for over 30 years, and am committed to exploring environmental issues and genetic discoveries through an interdisciplinary approach to my practice. I respond to the image of the ape and monkey as humans closest relative, the ape acting as a mirror and social commentary reminding us of the necessity to re-evaluate our position within this increasingly urbanised world. Above all, I believe that creativity has the ability to present pertinent and powerful messages, a philosophy I represent through my art.
