CHRISTABEL WIGLEY

BFA Hunter College, NYC. Studied at the Whitney Museum of American art studio program. It was here that Wigley became increasingly interested in painting in low relief and it was this interest in the third dimension that led her to creating sculpture.

Wigley resides and sculpts on the Mornington Peninsula, Victoria, and is represented in collections in Australia and USA. Wigley exhibited at the Lorne Sculpture Biennale in 2014 and was the recipient of the Montalto Sculpture Prize in 2012, People’s Choice in 2011 and a finalist for the last 11 years since 2009. Exhibitions also include Sculpture by the Sea Bondi, NSW in 2014, 2016, 2018, 2019 and 2020 being postponed until 2021.
