Collection: BEN CARROLL

Ben is a 51 year old woodwork artist, who has lived on the Mornington Peninsula since he was an infant. He has a background as a self-taught furniture builder. He works on a moderately large scale, creating fibreglass shapes that have an aged timber surface. Ben sources the aged timber from wharves, jetties and the occasional demolished fishing boat. His forms are based on interactions of people, although he himself is reclusive.
