Horsehoe crab  2017
resin
44 x 17 x 4 cm, edition 28

This work looks at the human relationship with the natural world and the idea of the animal as specimen. Horseshoe crabs are often used within biomedical sciences where their blood is harvested and predominately used with injectable medicines. These practices along with environmental impacts and habitat destruction have contributed to a decline in numbers and a threat to multiple species.
