Red Hill banksia  2021
oil on board
20 x 20 cm
framed

This work is based on a small banksia dropped from its bush and picked up by my kid while out walking at Red Hill. It is a small homage, conveying something of the wonderful bushland of the Mornington Peninsula and the wildlife it supports.

This area is an incredible habitat for flora and fauna. We are so very lucky to be able to enjoy it. After the covid lockdown period we in Melbourne are more than ever aware of the true significance of our wild places. This area and its wild life needs to be protected and preserved for our children and for their environment to be sustainable. It is a privilege to be part of this wonderful exhibition and donate 100% of the sale of this work to this very important cause.
