Gwen Scott lives on the Mornington Peninsula and works from her home studio producing original colour and black & white limited edition prints. Gwen works full-time as a printmaker and specialises in the reduction technique to produce her colourful prints. All her prints are hand cut and hand pulled by her and the finest 100% cotton rag paper, oil-based inks and linoleum are used. Gwen's iconography stems from her interests in classical mythology, the human form, animals, human lifecycle, surrealism, gardens & landscapes and the every-day.
Gwen has received many accolades such as the 2018 InkMasters Printmaking Merit Award and the 2016 Print Council of Australia Commissioned Print Award. Her work is represented in over seventeen Australian public collections including the National Gallery of Australia and she has exhibited widely both in Australian and overseas, including the 2018 International Printmaking Biennial in Douro, Portugal.
